TERMS of INVESTIGATION AGREEMENT
The undersigned person (s) [client] hereby agrees to abide to the following conditions as the basis upon which AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATIONS [company] and its assignees will do investigative and related security work for the client.
- NO WORK ASKED WILL BE FOR ILLEGAL PURPOSES.
- No other agency or person will be engaged during the length of our investigation for the purpose of this investigation.
- The client will not engage in any activity of investigation related to our investigation through its duration.
- The client will turn-over to the company all information and evidence, however slight, both currently had or obtained in the future to the company for its use during the length of the investigation. The client will also be totally honest and open with the company regarding any aspect of the investigation.
- The client will provide a sum of money to cover the expected total hourly and expenses charges before work commences. The hourly rate to be determined by the factor of danger or difficulty.
- The expenses will include but are not limited to: any fees paid to obtain information, any fees paid while seeking information, any purchases which needed to be made which would not normally have been made, the price of meals above a reasonable limit needed to be had, lodging and transportation, and the cents per mile allowance of actual driving on the client's behalf.
- Any amount of the aforementioned sum of money not earned at the end of the investigation shall be returned to the client less the earned amount and any interest gained from the financial institution in which the money was retained.
- Should for some reason the investigation run longer than the expected length of time, toward the end of that expected time the company will confer with the client and give the client a interim report as to the progress of the investigation to the extent of determining the continuance of the investigation. If the decision is to continue the investigation another sum of money will be needed to further the investigation.
- The client may at any time end the investigation upon written request and receive the return of any unearned money. The client shall in no case receive in return more than one hour less the original amount.
- The company will maintain the confidentially of the client to the utmost allowed by law and will work in the best interest of the client.
- The company will maintain the money advanced, in a reliable financial institution untouched until that part has been earned and will make proper accounting for the disposal of that part.
- The company will give to the client a full report of the activities conducted on the clients behalf, including the use of the expenses, at the termination of the investigation.
